The NRA Basic Pistol course is a ten hour class. This is a class for people who want or need live fire training. The NRA Basic Pistol Course focuses on the fundamentals and is a great starting place for new shooters. Five hours of instruction takes place in the classroom and the other five consists of live fire range instruction and handgun cleaning. Students will learn the rules for safe gun handling, revolver and semi-auto parts and operation, the components of ammunition, marksmanship, range rules and different shooting positions.
