The Concealed Carry Permit Process & Prices

Your CCW class isn’t the only thing you must pay for when getting your permit. Remember that you also have to pay for your application, background check, and fingerprints. Typically, the cost of fingerprints and a background check is part of your application price. For example, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office charges $135 to submit a CCW application. However, costs will depend on the county you live in.

From start to finish, you can expect to pay anywhere between $200 to $350 for your CCW permit in Colorado. The process will look something like this:

This is a great course, provides a lot of information and prepares you for the basics of carrying concealed. You do need range time to be proficient afterwards, but this will give you the knowledge on what to do and certification for the CHP. Highly recommended and will use them again when it is time to renew!
